Whiteville Garden Club 2022 Garden Tour

The Whiteville Garden Club 2022 Garden Tour is Saturday, June 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nine gardens are featured this year including the Reuben Brown House. Along with the home and gardens, special events at Reuben Brown House include a bake sale, handmade quilt show, photography by Fred Meekins, and a book signing by author and Whiteville-native Vinson Bowers. Bowers will be on-hand to sign his newest book, Midnight Terror, a fictional account of a real but mysterious plane crash in 1960 in the Bolivia community. All aboard the flight perished. Proceeds from book sales will benefit restoration of the Reuben Brown House. Tour tickets are $20 and can be purchased from Whiteville Garden Club members or purchased at Country Nursery located at 315 Vinson Boulevard in Whiteville.
